  • World Environment Day celebrated by organizing a webinar on ‘Biodiversity- ariyendathumCheyyendathum’ at 2pm. Principal Dr.Beena .S delivered the presidential address and Dr. Priya Varghese, DSS, Kannur University inaugurated the programme.Dr, Sreeja P, Asst. Professor of Botany, Sir Syed College, Thaliparamba  engaged the session.

  • As part of Environment Day Celebration, volunteers cleaned the premises of Sub treasury office   Mattanur.

  • “Reading Day” celebrated by online discussion of literature. Dr, Sumitha Nair, Asst.Professor of Malayalam, PRNSS College, Mattanur Inaugurated the programme. Volunteers actively engaged in the discussion.

  • In association with Physical Education Department ,International Yoga Day Celebrated by arranging an Online Yoga Class –YOGATHON. Principal Dr.Beena .S inaugurated the programme. Mr. Ravikrishnan.T, Asst.Professor of English , PRNSS College, Mattanur demonstrated the asanas.

  • Father’s day celebrated by conducting an online debate on the topic “ Do we need Old age Homes” at 11am. Sri.Sreerag P.K, Assistant professor of English was the moderator.

  • As a part of International Day against Drug Abuse, we organized a live class on  “PidimurukkunnaLahari, KaalidarunnaYuvathuam” in our NSS Instagram page. Sri.Sameer K.K, Civil Excise Officer ,Thalassery interacted with the volunteers and delivered the talk.

  • Television was provided to a student of Mattanur Kayani U P School as an online study aid.Principal Dr.Beena S handed over the TeleVision to the school authorities in the presence of Programme Officers.

  • Planted tree saplings in the college campus. Principal Dr.Beena S, who was going to be transferred , planted a mango tree . Volunteers planted banana, moringa, curry leaves, papaya, mango and jackfruit tree in the campus and canteen premises.

  • On the twenty first anniversary of Kargil Victory Day NSG Commando ShauryachakraManeesh PV Sab shared his experiences with the volunteers.

  • Study materials and masks made by volunteers were handed over to the students of Kolari Sachidananda Balamandir.

  • Webinar on World Nature Conservation Day. Dr. P.Dileep, a Botany teacher and environmental activist at RajivGandhi Memorial HSS, spoke on “Nature is not ours, we are Nature’s”.

  • As part of Youth Day, we organized a Webinar on the topic “ I am OK, You are OK”. Life Skill Trainer and Mentor Sri.SajeevOthayoth has spoken on the topic.

  • In association with History Department, we conducted a webinar on “Unknown pages of the Freedom Struggle” on Googlemeet. Our Alumni Sri.Krishna Kumar Kannoth spoke on the topic.

  •  Farmers day celebrated by organizing a webinar on “Agriculture and Farming Practices” at 3pm on Google meet. Sri.V.V.Rajeev, Asst. Agricultural Officer, Ulikkal talked in detail about farming methods.

  • Teachers Day celebrated by organizing a webinar. Poet and Associate Professor of English Sri.PramodVellachal delivered the keynote address. Volunteers also held a letter writing competition for their favorite teachers.

  • NSS Day celebrated by organizing a Webinar on “The Role of NSS in Shaping Human Behaviour”. Dr. E.Sreekumaran, Associate Professor of Physiology, University of Calicut delivered the talk.

  •  Organised a Webinar on the topic “Gandhism: Relevance in the Past and Present”

  • Planted 151 Plants on 151th Gandhi Jayanthi

  • Conducted a talk on “ Palliative Care during the Covid period”. Sri.Arun.C,General Secretary PIC spoke on the topic.

  • NSS Units in association with Sakshi NGO organized a webinar  on 11-10-2020 on Child Sexual Abuse and POCSO Act 2012 as part of Rakshin Project.

  • An Online class on “Fundamental Rights” was conducted and Adv.Aswant P.T took the class.

  • As part of the Pollution Day, a webinar on the topic “Ininjan Ozhukatte”. Dr. Dileep, Enviornmentalist talked on the topic.

  • Live Programme was organized. Smt.K.K.ShylajaTeacher,Hon. Health Minister of Kerala spoke about the plight of cancer patients during the covid 19 pandemic.

  • Conducted Panel Discussion on Health Issues in Women.

  • ChikitsaSahayam handed over to the family of Devatheerth, Edapazhassi who was unable to walk.

  • Volunteers donated blood  at AKG Hospital, Kannur and  Aster Mims, Kannur.
