•  Our NSS units has won the most prestigious award of NYLP (National young leadership programme) 2016 for their excellent performance in their activities under Kannur University. (30.3.17)
  •  Independence day celebrated in association with NCC and a green initiative started (15.8.16)
  • Orientation programme to first year NSS volunteers was given by Dr. Nafeesa Baby, Programme officer of Sir Syed College. (3.9.16) 
  • Carried out a lot of activities for the benefit of Society which include Laharivirudha Bodha valkkaranam, donation of Rs 10000/- to onathinoru veedu programme, organ donation awareness etc. (3.9.16)
  •  Observed Gandhi Jayanthi. A procession for Laharivirudha Bodha valkkaraanam was conducted in association with Manas. Cleaning of Mattanur Govt. hospital surroundings were also done (2.10.16).
  • Conducted a health survey at Panichery and Devarkad wards as a part of Manava Karunya yathra.(5.10.16)
  •  Received Manavakarunya Yathra led by Fr David Chirammel, Chairman, Kidney foundation of India with Panjari melam at Mattanur Town. The two day programme at Mattanur was inaugurated by Honourable health minister Smt Shylaja teacher.
  • In connection with this our volunteers cleaned both sides of road and drainage of mattanur town. They have also conducted free medical detection camp of kidney disease and eye care camp at CDS hall, Mattanur. 
  •   NSS volunteers celebrated Onam with the inmates of the adopted Ambedkar colony.
  • Observed Police co-memorization day in association with NCC unit.(22.10.16)
  • Collected an amount of Rs 5000/ from students for donating to a Kidney patient Santhosh (3.11.16).
  • Conducted a blood donation forum formation and organ donation awareness programme in association with the NSS alumni voluntary organization Manas conducted on 18.11.16. District medical officer Dr.Narayan Nayik inaugurated the programme
  • 7 days Special camp was conducted at Aralam Farm School. They had undertaken variety of programmes like cleaning of school campus, trekking, setting a plot for vegetable garden at school, value added classes, personality development classes, cultural activities etc.
  •  Observed palliative care day on 15.1.17.  Sixty  NSS volunteers and programme officer Dr.Prasanna.M.Kvisited the Snehabhavan at Alacherry and had spent time with the inmates. Volunteers washed the cloths of the inmates as sramadan.
  • Collected a fund for financially   supporting the needy cancer patients and Kidney patients in Mattannur locality from students and teachers .An amount of Rs 9000/ was collected from students and Rs 3000/ from staff.
  • Conducted a Lahari virudha bodha valkkarana class on 18.2.17.The class was handled by Mr.Sukesh Kumar,Excise Preventive officer , Excise divisional office ,Kannur.
  • Volunteers collected   Rs 35000/- for the Nanadana sahaya nidhi in association with Manas.
