• The Department conducted four online lectures as part of the Web-Lecture Series Literature and Literary Studies: Past, Present and Future.

  • The series was inaugurated by Dr. R.K Biju, Asst. Professor of Physics and Principal-in-charge on August 19, 2020. The maiden lecture of the series was delivered by Dr. Arunlal Mokeri, Asst. Professor and Research Guide, Dept. of English, Govt. College, Mokeri on the topic Reading Literature at the Edge of Print Capitalism. 
  • The Second lecture was held on 22 September, titled National Cinema: Negotiating Cultures and Histories.  Dr. Swapna Gopinath, Asso. Professor (Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication, Pune), Research Guide, and a Fulbright Scholar (University of Rochester, USA) delivered the lecture which was followed by a discussion. 
  • On October 30, Dr. Sajna Raj .N, Assistant Professor, Dept. of English, Adikavi Nannaya University, Rajahmundry, delivered a lecture on Theorising Disability in Literature. 
  • The final lecture of the series was delivered by Dr.Saji Mathew, Asst. Professor of English, School of Letters, M.G University, on the topic Why Theory on December 16.
